Some moments are once in a lifetime, and Kyle’s proposal to Alyson in Newport, Rhode Island was one of them. On a soft, misty summer evening, with the Newport Pell Bridge stretching across Narragansett Bay behind them and a lawn lined with white hydrangeas, Kyle got down on one knee, and Alyson’s reaction said everything.
After the happy tears (and plenty of hugs), we wandered over to the historic Newport Harbor Lighthouse on Goat Island for engagement portraits, with sailboats drifting past and the whitewashed stone tower as the perfect backdrop. A few quiet moments on the grass, one very sparkly ring, and a whole lot of laughter later, the night ended with friends and family gathered by the water to celebrate the newly engaged couple.
