Birthday at the Beach!
Jacob’s first birthday was a great excuse to invite the very first visitors to my new home studio! I’m so happy that Laurie and Jake hopped in the car and decided to spend the day with me. When you have more than one child, (as Laurie and I both do), sometimes it is important to spend time with each of them, one-on-one. It’s wonderful to see your children playing together, but it is when they are alone with you that their personalities and inner workings really shine through. I was glad I had my camera on hand to capture so many of Jake’s wonderful expressions and moods.
After being inside in the studio for a bit, Jacob was ready to run wild when we got to the beach in Misquamicut. He ran around with some help from his momma, crawled in the sand, and even sampled some of the local flavors (like sand LOL). It was December 16, but it was warm enough for us to play on the beach and recharge. There are so many things I miss about Worcester (our friends, the amazing food scene, the city itself…) but one thing I will not miss is the long, bitter, snowy winter! Plus, there is something about the ocean that always centers and balances me, and I’m so grateful to be able to share that with our friends and my clients!
