Tips for choosing, dressing and relying on your Bride Squad

Let’s talk about the importance of bridesquads! These are the amazing people who are going to help you prepare for one of the biggest days of your life. Whether they are friends or family, old or young, these should be people that lift you up! If there are any hiccups on your wedding day, you want to have supporters by your side who can divide and conquer to solve any problem that might arise. Here are some of my favorite Brides and Squads doing their thing!

One of the most important things that comes with choosing your bride squad is to fill it with people who really help you shine. Dani’s bridesmaids were the perfect group! Filled with friends she had known for years, they all selected a different gown from a range of blue hues that Dani had picked out. This helped each woman to feel unique, beautiful and special. It also means that they might get to wear the dress again for something else since it was something that they picked out for themselves. Dani’s wedding to Javier at the Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill was nothing short of a dream. Their incredibly beautiful ceremony on the lawn was followed by a spectacular evening of dancing under the stars. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Frannie and Nate wanted to have both the ocean and the woods as backdrops for their wedding. To accomplish both, Frannie and her bridesmaids got ready at McGuirk’s Ocean View Hotel on Hampton Beach in New Hampshire, and they held their wedding just across the border at the lovely Meadow at Red Ridge Farm. Frannie needed lots of help to plan her wedding because she and Nate were living on the west coast at the time. She chose her sisters and her closest friends to be her bridesmaids to give her all the support that she needed. For the getting ready portion of their day, Frannie’s Bride Squad wore pink flowered robes to match her white flowered robe. For dresses Frannie chose to have them all wear one of three styles of burgundy gowns, which were perfect for the woodsy setting of this early fall wedding.

Mary and Kevin had a beautiful late spring wedding at the world famous Ocean House in Westerly, RI. Mary chose to have her two closest cousins as her bridesmaids. The ladies dressed in matching blue and white robes for the getting ready portion of the morning. Later Mary’s Bride Squad changed into matching navy gowns, which complimented the yellow of the Ocean House spectacularly. You can see more of Mary and Kevin’s gorgeous Ocean House wedding HERE.

Haley wore a white robe while her bridesmaids wore black robes. They would use the same color scheme later in their dresses.

When it came to gowns, Haley asked her bridesmaids to wear super sexy and flattering black dresses.

When Haley married Kyle, she wanted sleek and sexy dresses for her totally glam Bride Squad. When she chose her bridesmaids, she asked her sister and her best friends who work with her at the salon to join her. The ladies wore black robes while they all got ready and did each other’s makeup. Their bridesmaid dresses were also black in one of two styles. If you’re considering black for bridesmaid dresses, just know that it will probably lead to a wild dance party at your reception! I’m not sure that the Indian Pond Country Club has recovered from this awesome wedding yet! Check out more of Haley and Kyle’s sleek and sexy wedding HERE.
